Heres a few quick tips you should do when starting
First off when you join type in idefybetamax! in game, this should respond with something along the lines of (you defy betamax at your own peril...) and you should gain some cool camera settings when you exit and press on the settings menu (allowing you to turn your camera up and down more efficiently) but you do need to set the keybinds for these as they are set to default yucky ones. (look under rotating camera and the key binds should be automatically set to something like home or shift, change these to the ones you want.
second off your first perks should be things like jumpman or mining speed as nobody wants to spend years mining blocks or having to build up constantly because you cant reach a certain place (speed demon comes later) and then for farming ignore the poultry perks and go straight to the crops one, that way you can quickly reach sprinklers and you dont have to worry about forgetting to water your crops and them dieing.
Now of course you want to make some cubits to start off your cool vend shop or your trading empire, well a great way to do this is by entering forum events,official giveaways and player hosted ones (make sure to read level requirements as some do have level requirements)but
fourth off (and this is for qbees that just want to grind and not really trade) is starting a farm or joining a mining hq. A few reputable ones as deja vu resources or seasonal resource market but of course, by searching mining hq in the search bar in the top right of the corner, there is a lot to choose from.
Now go on and become the richest and coolest qbee ever
