BlackSonatta
Sonatta's Attic
The topic of “quitting Cubic Castles” is one of multiple perspectives. Talking from experience, since i have quit the game for the last time in 2024, i’ve still kept up with the game in my free time whenever i felt like it, and every once in a while, people would come up to me asking if i came back to playing the game again (though not all comments were as polite as i made it out to be here, as i have come across multiple people who often took offense to the fact i was playing again). Now, in 2025, i’ve decided to be a little more active due to the Halloween event, as that peaked my curiosity, and as you might’ve guessed, this same old questioning of “Is BlackSonatta back to CC?” came to light again, but this time, i actually took to question the concept of “Quitting”, and i would love to hear your opinions on that matter: What do you consider to be a true and definite “Quit” of playing Cubic Castles?
Like i said, i believe that quitting the game is a matter of perspective, which is why i think so many people find it confusing that i keep on playing the game even if i continually say that i quit it. The way i see it, for me to have quit the game means that i have stopped interacting with the game in the way that i used to way back then, with hosting events and doing content creation for YouTube. Also, the fact that i no longer play the game every single day, now playing at best 3 times per week (with the exception of official events in case i’m interested enough, like what happened with Halloween) is another argument for me as to why i consider myself to have quit the game.
In the end, that’s what i believe to be the definition of “To quit Cubic Castles”: “To have stopped interacting with the game in the way that you used to, and to reshape how you interact with it moving forward, whether that means you no longer log into it or you dial your activity down significantly.”. By that definition, i believe that quitting falls onto a spectrum, so it’s up to you to decide what it means to have quit the game by your understanding.
Do you think this way of thinking makes sense? What definition do you have of quitting? I would love to hear your opinions on this thread! Thanks for reading, and as always, have a wonderful day
